5.       BACKGROUND OF THE PROBLEM:
There are an estimated 153 million orphans around the world. It is a problem that can never be completely solved.
·         Orphans are most vulnerable and are more prone to disease, malnutrition and death if proper care is not taken. It is impossible for them to have a healthy environment.
·         The best thing one can do for them is to provide a healthy environment.
·         The health condition of the orphans is not appreciable.

7.        CONQUEST:
·         We were really happy to see the children enjoying our session.
·         While discussing waste management, we were happy to see the children cleaning their surroundings, putting the litter in a waste pit without even asked to do so.
·         Our real achievement is we were able to make them smile throughout the campaign.
·         We felt satisfied after the campaign.
8.       OBSTACLES FACED:
·          Shortage of the tools to clean ground.
·          Removing thorn plants is one of the big risk.
·          Large area to be cleaned in the specific time in the hot sun.
·          Making children to work and make them understand the task.
9.       TOTAL MAN HOURS FOR ACCOMPLISHMENT:
·         2 Days
10.   ROAD AHEAD:
·         Most of the children in the orphanage are studying in govt.school so we thought of writing a letter to govt to improve their medical conditions and health.
·         We are planning to visit the orphanage again to meet them so that we could have an interaction with them.
·         We are trying to dig saplings around the orphanage.
·         As we are students, our resources are restricted. The best we can do right now is to provide career suggestions for them.
11.   ROSES AND THORNS:
·         We are really happy that we had the opportunity to go to the orphanage and interact with the children over there. We learned the living standard of the minority section of people in our society.
·         We think life is unfair when we scoreless in a competitive exam. We never think   about people who couldn’t even write the exams because of the exam fee. It was awesome experience.
·         It was a great experience and we could meet different and typical orphan people.
·         We never participated in such an event before. It helped to understand our strength and weakness. We got full satisfaction when we saw smile on children’s faces.
·         We thank our CIR department and Fr.V.T.Phillip sdb who is director of this orphan home to give such a wonderful opportunity.
