                               v.            Coverage of reading day conducted by Archana arts club made.
                             vi.            Motivational classes on education were taken for tribal students.

5.       BACKGROUND OF THE PROBLEM :
                                 i.            Low student attendance and high drop out rates among scheduled tribes
                               ii.            Wayanad has 90 localities with minority concentration
                              iii.            92.6% of the population live in rural regions
                             iv.            17.2% tribal population
                               v.            High rate of child marriage

8.       OBSTACLES FACED :
                                 i.            Lack of familiarity with the target area and community.
                               ii.            Communication barrier owing to different dialect of the tribal community.
                              iii.            Shyness and unwillingness to communicate from the community’s side.
                             iv.            Negotiations had to be made to get access to the forest villages.

9.       TOTAL MAN HOURS FOR ACCOMPLISHMENT :
2 days of in field work

10.   ROAD AHEAD :
                                 i.            Teachers at residence.
                               ii.            Development of reading among parents and kids.
