  1. BACKGROUND OF THE PROBLEM:
  • Toilets: No water supply to the taps present in the student washrooms. The solution that we have suggested was to connect overhead tank outlet to pipeline of washroom.
  • Old Buildings: After observing the poor condition of an old block of school buildings we explained the problem with the village and school authorities.
  • O H Projector:  Overhead projector provided by the government before eight years and still untouched, we got a bundle of slides and handed it over to the in charge and explained its operation.
  • Computer lab: There are around eighteen computers in which more than half are out of working condition with minor issues. We prepared a list of devices that are to be repaired.
  • Stationery items: We distributed some essential stationery to students like exam pads, pens, pencils, etc.
  • Science laboratory: Most of the chemicals present in lab are almost expired.  We intimated to the lab in charge who ensured us the immediate replacement of those.
  • Collapsed Compound Wall: The part of a compound wall was damaged the “Hud Hud” cyclone in 2014. We implemented the idea of “BIO FENCING” by plant thorny shrubs instead of rebuilding the wall for temporary time.

  • Staying in touch with the school authorities and enquiring regarding changes in the mind set of student and also about the condition of plantation we did and the cleanliness they are maintaining.
  1. ROSES AND THORNS:
We felt very much privileged for taking up this project. This was our first experience to do such life changing work. This Work not only created awareness in students but also in us too. After going to school, we spoke to them and they were Very kind to us and felt very much happy that we came for helping them in some aspects. That overwhelmed feeling shown by the children made us very much cheerful though the outdoor work should be done in the scorching sun. We felt very much gloomy for the hardships that are being taken by the children at that age. They don’t even had place to eat lunch. But the thing that we want to say is that they never mind the problems they are facing, all they know is being kind to others. Their innocent faces and lovely pranks made us rejoice and that made us to remember our childhood.
