4)      Bhajans, Summer camp, Health camps and cultural activities are also conducted as a part of the work

5.BACKGROUND OF THE PROBLEM:
1)      Lack of effective awareness of the villagers in their daily life
2)       The substance abuse is the major problem of the villagers
3)      Problem of the language speaking with the children

8.OBSTACLES FACED :
1)      We had to cook our own food. It was really a great challenge as well as a great learning experience.
2)      One of the main challenges that we faced was that the villagers usually go to fields for work early morning every day. Hence it was difficult to get in touch with them for long hours

(SSR16-056) Problematic Analysis of Differently Abled Children


1.        TITLE:
                          “Problematic Analysis of Differently Abled Children”
2.        MISSION:
·         Focuses mainly on studying the lives of differently abled children, to spread happiness, and rays of hope among the children.
·         To encourage specially abled children to come forward to the society and overcome the social negligence faced by them.
·         To have a check on the physical well being of the children by conducting a medical check up by a reputed physiotherapist.
·         Tried to make them familiar with educational systems by providing necessary commodities.

4.       ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN:
·         Conducted a physiotherapy test on all children to know regarding their well being.
·          Drawing competition was conducted to encourage their skills.
·         A small mono-act as a part of entertainment.
·         Cooked food for children as a part of their daily meal.
5.       BACKGROUND OF THE PROBLEM:
·         Tendency of parents to take no good care of children once they get to know that the child is physically challenged.
·         Malnutrition is the basic problem, as parents do not invest much on the children once they get to know about the truth
·         Unavailability of schools and necessary amenities

7.        CONQUEST:
·         We were really happy to see the children enjoying our session with a whole lot of enthusiasm.
·         We were happy to see the children cleaning their surroundings, putting the litter in a waste pit without even asked to do so.
8.       OBSTACLES FACED:
·         At first it was not easy to convey our point to the students as they couldn’t respond to our questions.
·         The space was not sufficient to interact freely with the children.
·         The time allotted by the authorities was limited facilitating meagre mingling with children.
·         Reluctance of children to invite us to their world.
·         Difficulty in preparing food as it was the first time experience

10.   ROAD AHEAD:
·         Most of the children are studying in a school outside the village by making use of the hostel facilities provided by the government.
·         We are planning to visit again to meet them so that we could have an interaction with them.
11.   ROSES AND THORNS:
·         We are really happy that we had the opportunity to go to and interact with the people over there.
·         We learned the living standard of the minority section of people in our society.
·         It was a great experience and we could meet many people.
·         We came to how difficult to be a diabled person.
·         We thank everyone who supported to complete our project.




(SSR16-115) AMRITA YOGA

    TITLE :
“AMRITA YOGA”

2.        MISSION :
·         The aim of our project was to popularize and spread yoga and its advantages to the younger generations so that they lead a healthy lifestyle in today’s corrupted and polluted world

·         Celebrated  International Yoga Day at AV Haripad.                                                                                                    


5.       BACKGROUND OF THE PROBLEM :

Today’s lifestyle has a significant effect on all especially the youth. The world of technology has almost eradicated the happier and healthier living. Only through such practices like yoga and meditation can we regain back the long lost secret to happiness

                Succesfully completed 2-day Amritayoga training at Amritapuri.
Celebrated Yoga day at AV Haripad.
Was able to engage a mass of 200+ students.
Our training was recorded and telecasted on Amrita TV(Top ten @10) on 20th and 21st June, 2016.
The official Facebook page of Amritayoga (Amritapuri) posted the same.
                                                                               


8.       OBSTACLES FACED :
Our aim was to train school students and to find a school was a tedious task. After short listing few schools, principal of AV, Haripad was the only person who permitted us to conduct the session on 21st June. We owe a sincere thanks to her and the team at Amrita Vidyalayam who provided us with such an opportunity and helped us make proper arrangements for the classes.

The Amritayoga training campaign conducted by the Ashram proved to be a vital turning point in removing our ignorance. Amritayoga definitely has made a great impact in our lives. When we decided to teach the school students, engaging them was a huge boulder before us.

·         “It was an amazing experience interacting with the children over there, we also learnt from them. Overall, it was a mutual learning process. We are really  looking forward for such sessions in the future.
