·         The aim of our project was to popularize and spread yoga and its advantages to the younger generations so that they lead a healthy lifestyle in today’s corrupted and polluted world

·         Underwent a training  program(conducted by Amritayoga,  Amritapuri)
·         Apprised  students of Amrita Vidyalayam, Haripad of Amritayoga.     
·         Celebrated  International Yoga Day at AV Haripad.                                                                                                    


5.       BACKGROUND OF THE PROBLEM :

Today’s lifestyle has a significant effect on all especially the youth. The world of technology has almost eradicated the happier and healthier living. Only through such practices like yoga and meditation can we regain back the long lost secret to happiness

7.       ACHIEVEMENTS :
                Succesfully completed 2-day Amritayoga training at Amritapuri.
Celebrated Yoga day at AV Haripad.
Was able to engage a mass of 200+ students.
Our training was recorded and telecasted on Amrita TV(Top ten @10) on 20th and 21st June, 2016.
The official Facebook page of Amritayoga (Amritapuri) posted the same.
                                                                               


8.       OBSTACLES FACED :
Our aim was to train school students and to find a school was a tedious task. After short listing few schools, principal of AV, Haripad was the only person who permitted us to conduct the session on 21st June. We owe a sincere thanks to her and the team at Amrita Vidyalayam who provided us with such an opportunity and helped us make proper arrangements for the classes.

The Amritayoga training campaign conducted by the Ashram proved to be a vital turning point in removing our ignorance. Amritayoga definitely has made a great impact in our lives. When we decided to teach the school students, engaging them was a huge boulder before us.

·         Not even a single toilet in the village
·         Unexpected cloudburst
·         Language, as most of them didn’t know Hindi
·         Stay in the village
·         Lack of time because of travel

9.       TOTAL MAN HOURS FOR ACCOMPLISHMENT :
·         504 hours

10.   ROAD AHEAD :
·         Arrange some programmes for them in the ashram
·         Visit the village atleast twice a year.

4.       ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN :

·          Made them aware about various types of pollution through various activities, videos, and interactive sessions.
·        Gave them a few saplings to plant in their school premises and thus taking a small step towards conservation.
·         The students formed an environment club and promised to plant a sapling every month and to keep their surroundings clean.

·         Lack of awareness about consequences of pollution among the common man.
·         Lack of motivation and enthusiasm to take up activities for conservation.

·         Over 70 children to participate in the seminar.
·         Took a small step towards helping and encouraging “Swachch Bharat”mission in our own way.
·         The clubs which we helped to form immediately came into action by cleaning the surroundings after the sessions.

·         To search for resources which will be both educative and entertaining. 
·         Deciding on the day for the seminar which is convenient for both us and the school.

·         To spread this message to a bigger audience – the adults..
·         To conduct more workshops and classes, more interactive sessions and spread as much awareness as possible and help in the cause of saving our home planet.

“We have been always concerned about the deteriorating earth and how we carelessly pollute the earth in spite of knowing its consequences we felt a great pleasure in taking the class and spreading awareness Taking classes for small kids was not easy, but it was fun. It was our first experience of this kind and of course we enjoyed it wholeheartedly. At the end of the day, we were contempt and enjoyed spending the day with kids.”
